Overview of the Conference

 "The conference brought together more than 150 participants, mostly senior government officials in charge of public procurement, from developing countries as well as development partners including multilateral and bilateral development institutions, civil society organizations, and private sector who will share their views through interactive discussions. The conference was also attended by speakers, government officials, and multi-lateral government agencies from other geographic regions. A newly updated e-GP Toolkit for policy makers, e-GP system developers, managers and users was presented at the Conference by the Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) e-GP Working Group. The three day conference facilitated in-depth discussions led by country representatives and e-GP experts on benefits of e-procurement, procurement reform and e-GP, strategic planning, implementation of e-GP, e-GP business models, e-GP functionalities and integration with other e-governance systems, institutional and regulatory framework for e-GP, e-GP inter-operability, and role of MDBs and development partners"
